Learning Target: I know that a function is a relationship between an input (x) and an output (y) and I can correctly use function notation.  I understand that some functions/equations have limited inputs and/or outputs.

4. Lesson 1.1.3: Multiple Representations of Functions - problems 1-25 through 1-27 





Learning Target: I can model tile patterns mathematically using multiple representations, which include: equations tables and graphs. I can describe graphs using key characteristics of the graph .


August 28, 2019 

1. Lesson 1.1.2: Investigating the Growth of Patterns (PART 2) - problems 1-13 & 1-14
  • Graph the data we collected last class
  • Describe the graphs 
  • Use graphs and data to answer questions about the different situations. 



Learning Target: I can collect and analyze data using tables and graphs. I can accurately graph data I collect.

1. Double check information on Berkeley Readiness Test, fill in missing bubbles
2. HW Questions - now is the time to correct your work without penalty
3. Go over HW Rubric and practice grading HW - any score lower 3 or below can ALWAYS be improved!
4. Copy down learning target onto Stampsheet
5. Lesson 1.1.2: Investigating the Growth of Patterns - problem 1-11
  • Complete all three labs and record data

2. Remind App - PLEASE sign up for this, its a great way to get information and ask questions! I encourage parents to sign up as well.
3. Berkeley Readiness Test Tuesday - Do not stress! This test helps me learn each of your strengths AND tells me what topics we will need to spend more time on!

5. How can you count it? - Introductions to number talks and sharing ideas 

Learning Target: Today we focused on seeing how to count circles in different ways. How do you think seeing things differently will benefit you in this course? In your day to day life, how do you benefit from seeing things in multiple ways?
